End of Dry January – do you stay dry?

Rae: End of Dry January webinar

Writer and Club Soda member Rae Ritchie shares her story of quitting drinking on this guest webinar, and talks about what she has learnt about alcohol’s impact on mental health. Rae also explores the choices available for those who are at the end of their Dry January: to stay dry for longer, drink more mindfully, or go back to where you were?

Rae also recommends a book that spurred her on at the start of her journey of changing her drinking habits – Drinking: A Love Story by Caroline Knapp.

You can find out more about Rae on her own website.

That was absolutely brilliant – thanks so much for your honesty and openness.
    You described me!
I’m so scared to start drinking again in Feb – but I’ve yet to make that pledge to myself!
The only way I got through Jan without a drop was to swear on my grandchildren’s lives I wouldn’t (so powerful)!!
I’ve tried and failed to moderate so many times (just like you)
I guess abstinence really is the only way – heeelp !
    Thanks again

On my 6 week now. Planing is the key to everything. I have my first girls night out Wednesday. OMG 😮 BUT IM PLANING. What to say about no thanks for the wine. Wondering if I’ll be jolly enough. I may have to leave early but my not drinking for now,is #1. I just feel so good sober Keep that in mind. The good feeling.
