What Amazon says:
Alcohol Explained is the definitive, ground-breaking guide to alcohol and alcoholism. It explains how alcohol affects human beings on a chemical, physiological and psychological level, from those first drinks right up to chronic alcoholism. Alcoholism and problem drinking seems illogical to those on the outside, indeed it is equally perplexing for the alcoholic or problem drinker. This book provides a logical, easy to follow explanation of the phenomenon and detailed instructions on how to beat it. Despite being entirely scientific and factual in nature the book is presented in an accessible and easily understandable format.
What Club Soda members say:
This book is for anyone who enjoys delving deep into the world of the brain and the science behind how alcohol becomes addictive. I’m absolutely loving this book!! Caroline
This book has been by far the most helpful (and I’ve read 7 or 8 others previously) as it explains things in a scientific way which I find much easier to relate to. And I like the fact that it does so in a very logical way without being too complicated. Sharon
I think it’s the best I’ve read… no drama, no reams of stats that are debatable (depending on the baseline) just solid common sense and a few eye opening facts. Recommend it 100% (the only percentage you’ll see 😂). The thing which spoke to me was that we have trained our subconscious to believe that a glass of wine (or whatever) makes us feel better because the subconscious doesn’t link the after effect … so we have now to retrain our subconscious… lots of other insights too… Sandria
I read it… it is great and one of the reasons I no longer drink! (no cravings, no desire!)
…easy read on a complicated subject! Try it … you’ll like it. Paul
